Up Your Casual Street Game

Edgy urban or off-duty, street style continues to grow in wardrobe domination. We’re not complaining one bit! Seriously, who could possibly have a problem with wearing comfort clothes like tech joggers, bold sneaks and hoodies?

But what works well for couch surfing doesn’t always translate well when heading out and about. The great thing about a good street fit is that is hits that brilliant balance between put together without looking like a ton of effort. Full disclosure: that can be trickier than you think.

If you’re finding yourself in need of rethinking your approach, we’ve got nine great combos to get you inspired. A little techy, a little lounge-y, and all perfect for your off-duty ventures.

Our first look has all the right boxes checked – boyfriend fit sweats and a super cropped tank from Vuori ground the whole look in place. Then some fun accessories get the point across without going overboard. Adidas’s cropped monogram hoodie goes hand-in-hand with Ray-Ban’s tinted shield glasses and some seriously retro kicks…as in the one and only Puma Classic Suedes (in B&W ‘natch!). And of course, what’s a queen without her crown? Let the world know with a Goorin Bros trucker hat.

Next up, we really cannot have a conversation around streetwear without talking about track suits. It is literally the defacto fit for so many streetwear looks. This season sees the return of the matchy-matchy and in colors straight out of the 2000s, but with modern materials and styling upgrades. This hot pink suit from the new season of Puma understood the assignment completely. Paired with Vuori’s performance top made of Dreamknit fabric which is made of 89% recycled polyester (because green is how we do things in the 21st century, TYVM). Speaking of new season – we slip the latest Jordan bold sneaks into the menu and pair it with some oversized Gucci sunnies that’ll keep you in the pink. Last we simply couldn’t pass up this adorbs pinky ring from Gabi Rielle.

After a decade of skinny jeans, embracing the baggy jeans of the aughties has us all feeling a little better about our circulation. This upcycled pair from RE/DONE is classic skater style and looks oh-so-snatched with Vuori’s Sunnyside Hoodie made from organic French terry cotton (hello cushy-cushy). Continue your ’00 channeling with a pair of serious statement shades and some playful, jumbo sparkly barrettes. The piece de resistance? Adidas’ new season of their cult-inducing Ultraboost, the 5.0 DNA in limited edition Floral Soles.

Here’s another comfy combination. We start with Vuori’s Lux Harem jumpsuit with performance stretch-knit that moves with you in effortless style. Next we go a little street-meets-adventurecore with a brightly colored shacket by Outerknown and some classic Timberland sixers. Of course it couldn’t be street without a little bling, so layer up with Queen Vibes necklace set and grab some “100% That B*” hoops courtesy of Baublebar.

Techwear and athleisure blending creates a solid streetwear look here. Praise Endurance’s cargo pants made of ripstop fabric just emanates outdoor-tech vibes, especially when paired with Carhartt’s shoulder & hip bag. Our athleisure elements come in with Vuori’s strato-tech fabric Energy Top and hi-Top Chucks. And just to let folks know you’re not taking yourself oh-so-seriously, this sweetly oversized Looney Toons windbreaker will bring a smile to everyone’s face.

From Left to Right:

Speaking of ‘Toons, when it comes to this season’s streetwear, a little Anime goes a long way. Channel your inner Billie by taking Vuori’s All-Day Jumpsuit and slipping on o0kawaii0o’s extra long, gender-neutral Heros tee. Cap things off with adidas tie-dye beanie and some serious stomping boots in the form of high top Docs. All that’s left is to pop on some grey transparent sunglasses from Akila and you are battle ready.

From Left to Right:

For the record, the camo-meets-urban-jungle combo is still going strong. These easy slip-on sneaks from Reebok are the perfect gateway piece to get you going. Vuori’s 4-way stretch Performance Jogger makes a great anchoring piece to your look. We then add adidas’ new Always On original tee. This season they’ve gone technical with sculptural cuts and some seriously eye-catching extended harness straps. Finish this look off with a puffy vest from Columbia and Meshmerise’s 18k silver chunky chain and diamond padlock necklace.

From Left to Right:

When temperatures heat up, don’t let your street game dry up. Perfect for a hot sunny day, Vuori’s Sunnyside shorts with 100% organic cotton will keep you breathing easy. We pair it with Opening Ceremony’s shirt that’s an edgy collab with The Linda Lindas. Some additional bling comes in the way of Eye Candy LA’s ball chain necklace and Karen Wazen’s retro-futuristic sunglasses…but the real showstopper is all Anthony Wang with his immoderate rainbow wedge sneaker.  Seriously, this guy is a whole vibe.

From Left to Right:

Our last look is all about some OG homage. Starting with the one and only True Religion’s ultimate boyfriend jeans, aka the Ricky Red. Re-released this relaxed fit pair comes together with the equally quintessential, 3-Stripe adidas bucket hat. Keep the cozy coming with Vuori’s Long-Sleeve Halo crew that’s luxe to the touch. Balenciaga’s crossbody take on old-skool patches is the icing on the cake. All that’s left is to add some serious chunk with Heron Preston’s necklace and slide on a pair of white-framed sunglasses by Palm Angles.
