Ten Daisy Jones-Worthy 70s Looks

The number 1 series on Prime has all of us hard crushing on all things 70s. We have the looks that will have you feeling groovy…

Undeniable talent, signature sounds and an incredible story behind their formation, it’s no wonder we’re all hooked on “Daisy Jones and the 6”. For the record, yes, it was a New York Times best selling book before it took the streaming world by storm, and no, the story is not, in fact, a true story (though author Taylor Jenkins Reid has stated her inspo did come from the real life mercurial relationships of the band Fleetwood Mac).

Whether you’re a wild soul Daisy, a rock star Karen or a confident Camilla, we’ve got the looks that’ll have you channeling aww sooky sooky.

Here’s a powerhouse fit that reads fresh. Blender’s Disco Lavender is the perfect set of shades for Windsor’s open back denim jumpsuit. Other retro touches like M. Gemi’s Greta clog and Furla’s fringy bucket bag round things out and Kendra Scott’s dreamy Watercolor Illusion necklace bring the whole vibe home.

Floral and flowy, this deep v-neck, chiffon maxi from Patbo features some serious 70s flower power. Keep the feeling going with an airy crochet crossbody from Versona, some milky-pink shades from Knockaround, and a pair of block heel platforms from Nina. Give a nod to the astrological trend that was major in the 70s and coincidentally has come back stronger than ever, with Baublebar’s Tarot Card cuff bracelet.

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:

Channel some badass Karen Sirko with this next fit. Starting with a gorg mesh bodysuit from Diane von Furstenberg, paired with Windsor’s cropped black faux leather vest. Of course a sunburst-inspired gold medallion from Satya adds star level status. Continue your rock influence with Joe’s Jeans (appropriately named) 70s patch pocket cropped jeans and some kicking suede boots by Beek. Last but not least, Amerileather’s black tote with riveted skull and crossbones is pure rock n’ roll.

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:

Organic textures are the mainstay of this next fit. Rich brown corduroys by Mother Denim pair with Free People’s chunky knitted vest and Bruno Magli’s sueded espadrilles. Slide on a pair of diva worthy cat eye shades by Blenders and flash some hammered gold with RockFlowerPaper’s drop earrings. Add an exuberant straw tote on your shoulder and you are good to go.

When the temps rise, this 70s inspired fit will keep your cool. Ramy Brook’s colorful crochet topped maxi dress plus rag & bone’s vintage 4″ inseam jean shorts are a perfect hot weather pairing. Add some more sizzle with Satya’s Enlightened Turquoise drop earrings and some playful flatform sandals by Circus NY. Final touch, some classic aviator shades from Ray-Ban.

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:

For the record, the term “glam” was actually coined in the 70s. This party look rates a ‘see this pic’ under that definition. Parisian brand The Kooples is the heart of this look with their slim fit, burnt gold and black striped jeans, followed by a cropped silk tank by Nicholas. Some additions to keep the look current (and not costume) we add a pair of fanciful trainers from Nike’s premier line and some ‘not your grandmother’s’ pearl earrings by Joomi Lim. Finally, we add The J Marc handbag from Marc Jacobs new season.

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:

If Stevie Nicks and Daisy Jones had a love child, it’d be this next fit. Unravel Project’s lace up jean shorts and a black lacy bralette by b’ tempt’d form the staple pieces, followed by a flowy, peachy kimono by Versona. Baublebar’s The Lovers tarot card necklace is an all Daisy reference, along with a daisy cutout handbag and floral sandals by Clarks. What’s left to do but slide on Elie Tahari’s oversized shades, grab a mic and say “Look at us now”.

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:

If you love Boho, you have the 70s to thank for it. This fit showcases that, with Sister Jane’s airy maxi dress leading the way, complemented by a floral embroidered belt and chunky wooden sandals (with just a hint of crochet). We wrap this look up with some Alpine wood earrings from Eye Candy LA and Lulus beaded handbag.

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:

Flirty and fun, this next fit is a rompin’ good time, thanks to Aeropostale’s chiffon and lace romper. Such a playful piece deserves some kicking western boots and a long and lovely crochet cardigan. As for accessories, we do some layering with Satya’s Sacred Connectedness pendant necklace and Kenneth Jay Lane’s shell choker. Our last bit of  spirited play comes with some rose-tinted octagonal sunnies.

FROM LEFT TO RIGHT:

For our final fit, we’re going full on fangirl. Starting with Tori Moriarty’s psychedelic band tee pairs up with some serious flared jeans (complete with gold stars) from Madison Maison’s collab with Designing Hollywood. Increase the diva level to queen with Gucci’s tinted aviators and Jean Paul Gaultier’s groovy cocktail ring (another collab, this one between JPG and La Manso). We finish strong with a pair of taupe Wallabees and Domi’s groovy guitar strap crossbody. And that’s a wrap, folks!
