The One-Piece is the LBD of the swimsuit world. While the bikinis and tankinis of the world have songs written about them (and more than a few iconic movie scenes) it’s the One-piece that most women across the world have in their closets (by over 20% compared to their two-piece sisters). The biggest reason for this is simple. Generally speaking, the one-piece offers more comfort and ease of wear.
So does that make our intrepid heroine some boring little wallflower? OHN ladies. Designers this season are bringing the sexy, flirty and downright fun into their 2020 looks. Some are silhouettes of returning success and some are completely new trends taking on a life of their own.
Here are some of the major trends we’re seeing, coming in hot for Summer…
RETURN OF THE MONOKINI
What do you get when you cross the sexiness of a 90s high cut, with support of a full one-piece suit? Yes ladies, the Monokini is back, and trending all over this season. More daring than its side-cut cousins, a true monokini is essentially a high leg cut bikini connected in the front either by fabric or fabric-plus-accessory (such as a metal ring or other object). The fabrics can match or the top & bottom can be completely different, thereby creating the illusion of a two-piece.

MESHING IT UP
Another fantastic trend that’s going strong is mesh. Like the Monokini concept, it’s popular in giving you a best of both worlds, specifically – sexy and secure. The amount of ‘peekaboo’ element options out there can be anywhere from modest to daring, making the choice entirely yours on how much you want to show…
