Office Supplies: Seven Spring 2024 Office Looks to Love

We have seven office attire looks (from apparel to accessories) that’ll have you exuding trendy professional…not home office hobo.

Strict dress codes (outside of certain professions) are becoming more a thing of the past. Nowadays office looks are more and more about personal choice.

Great, right? Except it can lead to some serious *analysis paralysis* when it comes to work wardrobe decisions. Dressing too comfortable may read to your colleagues and management that you’re not invested in your work. This may be doubly true if your career is client facing, which may send the wrong message about the company’s professionalism and could even impact your client relationships.

But fear not! Our Editors have put together seven complete fits that are chic, cohesive, and stylishly comfortable.

Ready to dive in?

Our first fit features one of the season’s favorite colors palettes – cool greens. Green of course has always been a spring favorite, but this season we’re focusing on earthy tones, such as tarragon, cool mints, watercress, and the main character of this outfit – sage. This wide leg, high waisted beauty from Windsor is the perfect specimen to rotate into your S/S work wardrobe. We pair these pants with a stylish satin blouse from Sugarlips (botanical print is also a big trend for 2024). Because both greens lean towards the cool side, they complement instead of compete. A soft neutral shoe blends well, just make sure it has a solid heel (like this M. Gemi one) so it doesn’t get lost under all the volume of the pant. Finally, we glow things up with some textured hoops from Kendra Scott and Dooney & Bourke’s roomy office satchel in a warm dark amber.

Another huge trend right now, the monochromatic look is perfect for bringing into the office. Black and white outfits dominated the catwalks from New York to Milan, taking no time at all to go from the runway to the street. While the color palette is simple, it shouldn’t be boring. This gorgeous white with black velvet roses midi by Windsor is anything but basic. We paired this beauty up with an equally interesting tweed black jacket from Hobemty that looks classic, but stays fresh with a cropped cut, short sleeves and playful piping. Keep things coquettish with a pair of trending kitten heel pumps by Nina, TOUS’s pearl and teddy bear necklace, and some striking statement earrings from Eye Candy LA. All that’s left is to add Hobo Bag’s Vida Tote that offers functionality and sleek style.

Cargo pants are coming in hot this year in oh-so many ways. With it’s casual, utility vibe, you might think wearing a pair to the office would be a hard pass. Not so! Take these crisp white cargos from Boston Proper. The overall silhouette is very office-friendly (wide leg, tailored, high-waisted) with only a single side pocket detail to give the *chef’s kiss* on the look. To this, we add a dark navy, knitted polo by The Kooples, that can be half-tucked for a preppy vibe. Speaking of preppy, these metallic ballet flats by Mansur Gavriel are both iconic and on trend, as is Sam Edelman’s creamy, quilted crossbody and this tennis bracelet from Gem & Harmony. Made with lab-created white sapphires and sterling silver, it’s a beautiful add to your jewelry collection that will last for years, at a pretty amazing price.

What’s not to love about a denim maxi? Besides being very of the moment, they offer a nice layer against those chilly conference rooms, and feel great to wear. For some work places however, your faded, distressed and/or raw hem versions may read as better for the weekend. If this is a concern, one of the best ways to rock this trend is in a solid, darker shade. This high rise, long denim skirt from NYDJ is perfect with its super dark color. To this we pair a snuggly, patterned cardi from To My Lovers and Birkenstock’s sleek, wedge heel. All that’s left are some choice accessories, such as a medium-sized chunky chain necklace and a creamy beige tote from The Row.

Matching sets are a quick, one-and-done solution to those busy mornings. They also happen to be trending thanks to Businesscore. There’s plenty of neutral options to choose from, but our take on this is to go for the color pop. This coral-rose set from Boston Proper is as cheery as it is polished. To this set, we channel some architectural energy, starting with Malone Souliers leather slingbacks and Jacquemus’ melted square necklace (both items from their new seasons BTW) and complete the look with Mansur Gavriel’s spring-inspired, textured tote.

Whether you refer to it as the ‘sheer look’ or the ‘transparent’, there is no doubt our obsession with see-through fabrics is still going strong. This trend can be tricky, because much of what you see on the runways is not office-friendly. This lace and silk button down from Diane von Furstenberg however, is definitely something to rotate into your wardrobe. The sheer lace is relegated to the sleeves, neckline and front, with generous coverage by solid silk panels in the front and back. Complement the sumptuous of this shirt by pairing it with Norma Kamali’s dark chocolate brown, faux leather midi and Joie’s delightfully textured toe-ring sandal. Adding a bit of play we go with a mala necklace from Satya Jewelry and from Rebecca Minkoff’s new season, the perfectly sized medium tote.

Of course we couldn’t finish out our list without a fabulous outfit that includes jeans. Once considered anathema in the work, jeans have become a staple piece in most offices for some time now. While many styles are welcome, why not show off your denim love with this season’s wide leg trend? These palazzo jeans from NYDJ are a fantastic choice with their true medium blue shade and figure flattering high rise waist. To this we pair Sugarlips’ floaty floral blouse, some cool, textured platform heels by Matisse and an equally cute saddlebag style purse from Clare V. Finally, we finish things off with Non Branded’s mighty cuff bracelet that’s the perfect (and trending) statement piece you need.
