The holidays are here, and it’s time to bring on the bling! This season is seeing a whole new set of trends, along with a few tried and true classics that seem here to stay. From charms to pearls to pendants and so much more, there’s definitely something for everyone to raise a glass to.
Ready to dive into some holiday heavy metal? Let’s get to the lists!
THE GIRL WITH THE PEARL
Pearls continue their fashion domination into the holiday season, with zero signs of slowing down as we head into 2025. Baroque style remains the main character, but traditional round sizes aren’t shirking their duty either. Some more interesting evolution we’re seeing as we head into the new year are colored pearls, such as green and gold-toned, along with the iconic Tahitian and luminous white. Pearls will look lustrously beautiful against any holiday outfit and especially so when paired with this season’s velvet obsession.
Like this moody blue beauty that spans the spectrum from grays and blues to creams and brown.
TOUS, Gold Bracelet w/White, Grey & Blue Baroque Pearls and Bear Motif $85
This sleek silver and pearl cuff is the perfect complement for any equally architecturally appealing outfit.
Hsu Jewellery, Drawing A Circle Pearl Ear Sculpture Cuff

What do you get when you mix moonstone, white jade and a healthy helping of freshwater baroque pearls? This marvelous mixed media necklace, of course.
Gem & Harmony, Moon Stone, White Jade and White Cultured Pearl Necklace in Sterling Silver $94.95 (on Sale NOW from $180)
MIX & MATCH
Layering is not new, in fact we’ve had several seasons of delicate items overlapping across fingers, wrists and necks. But those dainty pieces consolidated together were just the warm up round compared to this season. Multiple metals, chunky chains on top of bold beads, all spun together in a maximalist “anything goes” fashion.
Not sure how to carry this off after all those seasons of retro-recession minimalism? Here’s some great inspo from our Editors.
Starting with this brilliant gold trio. Italian Gold’s bold 14k rope necklace is substantial enough to go solo but gets a solid upgrade when paired with a blingy tennis necklace and Satya Jewelry’s long and lovely mandala necklace.

Forget the ‘similar size’ rule and experiment with mixing dainty and substantial, like this non-conforming trio of delicate filigree flowers with chunky gold and serpentine rhinestone. Yes, this all goes on one wrist, and yes, the end result is amazing.

Mix and matching materials makes for a dramatic look you can easily pull off. From David Yurman’s new collection comes this two-toned 18k yellow gold and sterling silver chunk chain that plays nicely with Gem & Harmony’s cultured saltwater Tahitian Pearl necklace, and bringing it all together is a gorgeous 14k onyx clover necklace by Italian Gold.

Don’t overthink it when it comes to max layering. The best part about this trend is not to take it too seriously. Here’s a great example with Italian Gold’s petite gold ball chain necklace being paired with Tom Wood’s large box chain necklace in sterling silver. It’s a nice couple, but when we add a non-apologetically bold initial necklace made from a burst of colorful semi-precious stones? Now we have the glow up your decolletage will truly appreciate.

CHARMED, I’M SURE
From Y2k inspo bracelets to coins, initials and all sorts of things in-between. Following the layering trend, this season we’re really packing on the charms.
Like this lovely Satya Jewelry charm necklace that’s a collab with everyone’s favorite Midsize Style icon, Taryn Truly. Called the Bestie Charm Necklace, it features an 18k gold, radiant sun-engraved charm holder with three meaningful charms. The dagger-shaped labradorite charm symbolizes imagination, perseverance, and truth. The dalmatian jasper charm, adorned with an evil eye, represents joy, loyalty, and intuitive protection, and finally the pearl coin completes the set, embodying emotional balance, and wisdom.
Satya Jewelry, Taryn Truly Bestie Charm Necklace Set $229
(on Sale NOW from $276)
The key to keeping your charm bracelets cute, not kitschy for the holiday? Focus on items that are more personable and less predictable ‘holiday items for holiday sake’ – unless of course that is your vibe, in which case stockpile those Santa hats and snowflakes to your heart’s content. This very charming charm bracelet from Baublebar lets you customize from hundreds of available charms on the site (up to five charms per bracelet).
Baublebar, Pisa Custom Charm Bracelet
$48 (for up to 5 Charms)
Finally, while it’s not something we’d normally think of in terms of traditional jewelry, we’d be absolutely remiss if we didn’t acknowledge the juggernaut of charm trends this year – the bag charm. And as for variety…

BIG BEADS & CHUNKY CHAINS
With much of the 2010 inspired maximalism making a comeback, it’s no surprise that the big statement necklace would be back as well. The jury is still out on whether those bubble necklaces (looking at you, J.Crew and Buckle) will be included in the re-mix, but if you have been pining for the next incarnation of Caroline’s “2 Broke Girls” pearl necklace, this holiday season is your time to highkey shine.
Starting with this truly amazing Cuban link chain from Italian Gold. At 30 inches long and made with 14k gold, this is the very definition of statement piece.
Italian Gold, 14k Italian Gold Cuban Link 30in Necklace $2,599.99 (on Sale NOW from $5,800)
Chains aren’t the only thing supersizing. This dome necklace by Simon Miller is no wall flower either.
