Brands that are no longer CF/VG have been removed and updated with new Editors favs:
For many people the idea of testing on animals for products is a serious issue. Nearly 40 countries have banned cosmetics testing on animals, and just recently California has proposed the California Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Act which if passed could make it illegal to sell cosmetics in California that have been knowingly tested on animals after January 1, 2020. Most recently, several brands big and small have taken things a step further and removed any animal products from their cosmetics line, essentially making them “Vegan-friendly”.
Because it’s not required by law for brands to state whether they test on animals or not, it can sometimes be confusing to determine which brands do or don’t.
At SLH we like to empower people to make their own decisions, so our editors put together a list of some of our favorite products by brands that proudly support a Cruelty-Free and/or Vegan policy with their products. For easy identification, we’ve identified each brand with a “CF” for Cruelty-Free, a “VG” for Vegan or both (Editor’s Note : Check out the Lips & Glosses for the CF+VG Matte lip color that made it into the 2018 Ipsy Glam Bag – Amazing!). This way both your look, and conscience, can be beautiful…
