Cop A Hippy-Tude

Bohemian luxe is everywhere for fall. From intricate embroidery to flowy fabric accessories, these looks take playful patterns to a whole new level. Whether you decide to experiment with a few choice pieces or mix it up from head to toe, you really can’t go wrong.

Looking for some inspo? We’ve put together 12 Folksy looks that are oh-so-bourgeoisie you’ll want each and every one.

Our first look is fit for a Boho princess. Starting with a fantastic flowing gown from Windsor, a funky florals hat, cool woven jewelry, an equally funky Marc Jacobs jean jacket and some cognac-colored clogs to round out the look.

Our second look is a burst of sunshine and a carnival of textures. A crushed velvet kimono wraps wonderfully around Nicole Miller’s crisp white mini dress. Sam Edelman’s tall python boots add to the drama. A woven bucket hat lends a little neutrality to this piece, while an oversized tie dyed tote in luminous yellow looks like a giant lemon slice.

Our next look is a celestial feast, thanks to Inkkas one-of-a-kind mystic slides. Paired with these, we keep things mellow with a pair of large legged cropped jeans, a patchwork patterned blouse and a fun faux suede hat in deep forest green. For last looks, we layered a cute elephant gold choker with an equally adorable owl pendant. All in all, a look that reads easy Boho…

Bursts of fun colors and sometimes unexpected pattern mixes are cornerstones of the Boho look. We dive into that lesson with a gorgeous gingham dress from Rachel Pally and pair it with Inkkas turquoise/yellow/bright orange bootie. Tying the colors together, we add a druzy beaded bracelet, some peachy transparent sunnies (from Knockaround) and a blue feathered, bead trimmed hat. This is a kaleidoscope that works.

No need to skirt the issue when it comes to floral patterns and Boho. Instead, embrace the opportunity to wear a garden of floral, like with this tiered skirt from 3BN. Of course we don’t want to overwhelm, so we paired it with a gauzy, oatmeal-colored top and some rich brown and fuzzy boots from Timberland. Of course nothings wrong with adding a little more pattern to the play, so we chose some tiny floral rimmed sunglasses. Together with Joomi Li’s asymmetrical crystal and chain earrings, the look comes together.

This next look is pure Penny Lane meets Pretty in Pink. We start with Windsor’s amazing Flared Pant and pair it with Lulus dusty rose satin halter top. A nautically inspired hat from Three Bird Nest adds flair, along with Amrita Singh’s gorg snake earrings. The piece de resistance? Romeo & Juliet’s show-stopping fluffy teddy coat.

Pattern power plays are all over this next fit. Alexis floral mini dress is a prize in and of itself but when paired with BP’s python slouchy boots and kate spade’s woven leather bag, this look goes next level. Adding to the visual interest is David Yurman’s unexpected bright green bracelet from his 2021 new collection (the brilliant coloring comes from anodizing pigment into aluminum). A drapey, fringe necklace by Flint & Mortar and Celine’s large frame sunnies complete the look perfectly.

Romantic and sumptuous fabrics are a mainstay of Boho. This next look is a feast, with Cheri’s lovely lace duster and Layfayette 148 New York’s wide leg satin pants. To this we add even more textual interest with Rue 21’s Paisley print scarf top, ShopVida’s handmade statement bracelet and tooled sandals from Muk Luks. All that’s left is to pop on some round Ray-Bans and the look is complete.

Rag & bone’s sweet mini dress starts our next outfit and we decided to give our Boho look a little Western nod. Starting with some kicking boots from Vagabond and an easy wearing cowboy-inspired hat. Add to this Frye’s saddle shaped bag along with a fun, fringed jacket from Lysse and this fit is coming into focus. Sphera Milano’s necklace gives you the moon and stars and lastly, we layer some color punch with Amrita Singh’s earrings.

This next look is all about the jewel tones. Alice + Olivia’s sexy silk maxi skirt was our inspiration. When we paired it with Ramy Brook’s lustrous satin top we knew we were on to something.  Anya’s rustic Heritage earrings and a playful chain belt gave us full on Stevie Nicks vibes. A colorful hobo bag from Staud and some textural wedge sandals from BCBG were the finishing touches.

Generous sizing and roomy materials didn’t just happen during the pandemic. Boho has had easy silhouettes as part of its DNA since it started. Case in point, this extravagant balloon sleeve dress from Who What Wear. With such an eye-catching look, we felt it only fair to pair with equally luxe items, including Trina Turk’s major statement necklace, a gorg burnt orange sandal by Tod’s and Krewe’s special edition St. Louis sunglasses. Last but not least, we fell in love with Sterling Forever’s bold chain ring. Altogether this is a striking fit.

For our last Boho look, we wanted to hit all the right romantic notes. Starting with this vibrant colorblocked paisley dress. Inspired by the beautiful shades, we paired this pretty number with Bottega Veneta’s Lido sandal and The Row’s opulent suede shoulder bag. Keeping things light and playful, we found the cutest heart-shaped sunglasses and rounded everything out with some lovely silver and pearl earrings from Tous.
