SINGING IN THE RAIN

Even if there’s not a drop in the sky! This season, rain boots have gone from something you quickly change out of to a front and center part of your outfit. One thing is for sure, these are def not your granny’s goulashes.

Chloé, Betty Rain Boot $399.99 (reg. $495)

SLOUCHY STYLES

The obsession with all things ‘aughts continues this season with the reboot (pun intended, thank you) of the slouchy boot. Channel your inner 00’s Kate Moss and embrace this boho-meets-rock n’ roll trend this season for a fun way to liven up your boot collection.

Yuul Yie, Tisha Mid-Heeled Boot $675

The heel? Intriguing. The slouch? Just right. And the color? Perfect for adding a little color punch to your fall outfits.

Boston Proper, Python Slouchy Heeled Boot $139.50

If you adore this season’s “it” animal print – python – then this boot is definitely calling your name. Made of vegan leather, it’s a great option from boho skirts to dark boot cut jeans.

OVER THE MOON FOR OVER-THE-KNEE

A mainstay for leggings, skinnies and minis alike, obsessions with over-the-knee boots are not new. The OTK boot lends a flirty femininity to any outfit, especially when the fabric is on the luxe side.

Stuart Weitzman, Willa Over-the-Knee Boot $372 (reg. $772)

Consider this your OTK staple piece. Goes with everything, a nice solid heel and a slightly pointed toe. Did we mention we also found it on sale for 52% off? Think we just did…

Lulus, Light Suede Over-the-Knee Boots $58

In a word…WANT. These creamy colored suede numbers would look absolutely amazing with a multitude of fall outfits. And at under a hundred bucks, there’s really no going wrong here…

MARVELOUS METALLICS

Move over statement jewelry…from marvelous metallics to sexy sequins, we’re seeing designers kicking boots this fall to next level with materials you’d normally find on a fabulous evening clutch.

Schutz, Fantinne Leather Boot $79.99 (reg. $320)

All that glitters is definitely not gold with these shimmery silver boots around. You’ll be surprised at how versatile these will be as you easily transition them from your best baggies to your fav retro straight jeans.

Betsey Johnson, Cady Blush Rhinestone Boots $153

These boots were made to par-tay. Encrusted with oodles of gorgeous blush rhinestones, these stunners from Betsey Johnson have a cushioned insole and non-skid rubber heels so they feel as amazing as they look.

ALL TIED UP

From chunky combats to high-heeled victorian-inspos, lace ups are winding their way into our hearts this season. Personally we love a good lace up because it allows us to customize our boot to our exact measurements of foot width, ankle and calf…all with a twist of the string.

Windsor, Lace Up Faux Leather Stiletto Booties $36.90

These sky-highs would look amazing with a mini, some leather leggings or even your favorite distressed boyfriend jeans.

Timberland, Premium 14-inch Waterproof Boots $200

Show the world your street is strong by wearing these under your baggiest skate jeans, or flip the script entirely and pair these with some cream tights, a plaid mini and a fun, collared sweater. The choice(s) are entirely yours!

TEMPTING TEXTURES

The textured accessory trend has continued into fall footwear. Tweeds, checks, herringbones, fuzzy and furry, 2021 is filled with shoewear we’d love to cuddle up to.

Circus by Sam Edelman, Hardee Ankle Buckle Bootie $45 (reg. $90)

Like your favorite plaid apparel, these chic booties by Sam Edelman will go well with all your favorite sweaters of the season.

Karl Lagerfeld, Cantyn Suede Boot $75 (reg. $189)

Quilted, puffy and fuzzy…three big trends all in one make this one an easy decision. Of course being on sale doesn’t hurt either…

NOSTALGIC MONOGRAMS

Our relationship in recent years with designers logomania has been as divisive as plucking a daisy…2019, we love you…2020, we love you not…2021, we love you. The difference this season comes down to our desire to return to normalcy and our focus on nostalgic notions. Monogram prints and textiles from established brands are having major comebacks this season, and if history has taught us anything, these timeless pieces are worth the investment.

Gucci, Zumi GG Tweed Knee-High Boots $1,980

The mother of all logos, the double-G print of the Gucci brand has been around since 1933 and has varied very little in all that time. These boot beauties display both the original, Aldo Gucci’s double-G logo on the buckle as well as the more iconically identifiable “one side up, one side down” double-G logo that has been with the brand since the 1960s. If you are a follower of couture, this piece needs to be in your collection.

Coach, Rivington Pull-on Ankle Boot $135

Sometimes a brand’s monogram becomes so prevalent in the fashion world that it tips the scales from fashion icon to fashion road kill. In the early ‘aughts, this brand was the darling of the celebrity world and the malls of America swelled with an ever-increasing amount of Coach product. Unfortunately it was that shift of association from coveted to ‘expected’, as well as a downturn in the quality of the products as demand soared, that ultimately caused the brand to spiral into the dreaded realm of the dated. But we all love a good redemption story and with the onset of 2000s nostalgia, the brand is finding itself once again lovingly on the arms of Jennifer Lopez, Megan Thee Stallion, Kiko Mizuhara, Cole Sprouse and many more. This mixed material ankle boot showcases the Coach logo in tasteful communion with a slick black rubber bottom. Perfect for slushy days.

COWGIRL UP!

Spring 2021 saw a strong trend in glam western wear, especially when it came to cowboy boots. Rhinestone cowgirls were sporting metallics and sequins on their cowboy boots and enjoying every minute of it. As we head into fall/winter however, styles are becoming more minimalistic.

Vagabond, Emily Suede Tall Boot $119.99 (reg. $240)

All the kicks of a western boot in this season’s soft suede. It may be more of a challenge to find an outfit these lovelies don’t work with!

Senso, Quillan Boots $132

A note to one of the interesting micro-trends within the cowboy boot trend this season is the exaggerated wide leg. As you can see on this Senso bootie, designers are playing with silhouette in interesting ways.

SHOOT FOR THE MOON

With all the ski-inspired fashion going around this season, one could reason it was inevitable that this style would make an appearance. True be told, these monolithic boots are an acquired taste. But if you’re looking for one of the season’s biggest stand out trends, the moon boot is ready for lift off in three…two…one…

Farfetch, The Original Moon Boot $165

Ground control to Major Tom…for 50 years and counting the Moon Boot has been the après-ski boot of choice. But now it seems, this boot is coming down from the mountains and showing up on the feet of plenty of urbanites and influencers. Pairing these with your favorite 90s straight leg jeans tucked in would be a great starting point or you could boldly go where (some) others have gone before and make it the statement piece of your oversized sweater + cute mini ensemble.

Love Moschino, Logo-print Moon Boots $210

Ski-inspiration meets punk with these low top versions from Love Moschino. Embrace the ‘snow bunny gone punk’ vibe and pair these with some shredded black tights, pleated mini plaid skirt and corresponding fitted sweater + large white collar combination. So so gorg…
