We are now officially into what many call the “in-between seasons”. That’s a sweet way of saying that weather-wise, our days are about to get pretty dysfunctional. But navigating these transitional periods doesn’t have to be equally unpredictable. We’ve got more than a few awesome ideas on how to take some of your current fav pieces (i.e. summer looks) and give them great duality by restyling them with some choice fall-friendly pieces.

#6 – THE FLORAL PRINT MAXI

Floral maxis and summer are like Tom Holland and Zendaya…adorably made for each other. And while we still have those sunny days and warm sultry evenings, a dark floral beauty like this one will see plenty of use. But for those cooler days? Hey, there’s no reason to put this baby in a corner (of the closet, that is).

Here’s a whole new vibe to give your fem-flirty maxi a bit of subversive academia. We begin by throwing on top a semi-sheer Valentino collared shirt (complete with the cutest neck tie bow). Next, we upgrade from the expected combat boot with one of this season’s new favorites – the mule bootie. Speaking of favorites, we finish things off with a sweet bucket bag by Mansur Gavriel and a pair of best-selling hoops from David Yurman.

A toasty pair of western ankle boots and a comfy crew neck are the perfect allies to transition your whites into fall. Throw on a playful statement necklace and Dagne Dover’s streamlined crossbody and you are good to go.

It’s been your go-to pant for everything from music festivals to BBQs. Now the days are getting shorter and you’re contemplating putting this pretty item away for the season? Definitely not! Keeping this item in rotation is as easy as re-envisioning it by getting in touch with your preppy side.

We start by taking a crisp, white button up and tuck one side in. For ours we chose the Windsor Glam Icon jeans that have cool visual interest with their lace up sides. Then we add a cool statement belt, like this one from Miu Miu. Keeping interest below, we pair these adorable tweed loafers from G.H. Bass with some fem-forward, lacy crew socks by HUE. You are now ready to be fabulous.

#3 – THE SUMMER KNIT DRESS

That airy, lightweight knit dress that was just so perfect for cooler summer nights doesn’t have to find itself folded away. Not when this beauty is just the base you need for a fantastic autumn corpcore look.

We start with a well-tailored, single button blazer in a classy, cool plaid. Picking up on the warm plummy tones in the jacket, we add a pair of rich, purple-red suede slingbacks from Circus NY. Elie Tahari’s neutral woven handbag is a nice, office-friendly size, and we finish this fit off with some oversized teardrop earrings in bold gold.

The surprising versatility of these Y2k-inspired jumpsuits made them very much a staple piece for festival and fashion lovers everywhere. One moment, it’s as casual as can be with jean cutoffs, and the next, elevated elegance when paired with a chiffon maxi. All things being equal, we all feel a bit sad when we think it’s time to put away our tanks.

But not so fast, because that white tank is the main character in this season’s elevated off-duty look. Starting with this fantastic fresh take on the cargo from Paige, called the Reid Jogger. Next, we add this comfy-cozy hoodie in limited edition chestnut color by Alo Yoga and we get a little wild with Cariuma’s animal print sneaker. Finally, we finish things off with Aurate NY’s delicate “connection” necklace, made from 14k recycled gold.
