2024 Fall Looks – Top Trending Pieces You Need for Fall

Join us as we investigate the interesting Fall trends, from casual to office looks.

OVERSIZED BLAZERS

Patrizia Pepe, Single-Breasted Blazer $220

When it comes to fall and all the layering that comes with it, it’s no surprise really that the oversized blazer would continue as a mainstay in everyone’s F/W wardrobe. As the weather cools, swap out your S/S boxy linen version for one in this season’s it color – burgundy. We continue channeling major Corpcore, with Windsor’s posh wide leg trousers and equally elevated, crisp white woven vest. A pair of sleek New Balance sneaks add a playful vibe, and we finish up with another major F/W trend – the sculptural statement ring. This one by TOUS has us truly captivated.

WESTERN BOOTS

Matisse, Tall Agency Western Boot $170

If you thought our western boot obsession was just a summer fling, think again. These pointed-toe paragons are sailing seamlessly into our F/W wardrobes in all manner of unexpected combinations. Looking for inspo? These gorgeous, latte-colored cuties by Matisse get a fresh turn when paired with a Nicole Miller silk midi dress, accessorized with another *big* trend – 80s oversized button earrings (these fellows from Baublebar are nearly an full inch in diameter!). Finally, we elevate the whole fit by skipping the expected dress tie and add a beautiful burnt orange leather wrap belt from ada Collection.

PREP THOSE CARDIGANS

Windsor, Preppy Please Striped Button Crop Sweater $32.90

Just like the Taylor song, the cardigan has stood the test of time season after to season. This F/W is absolutely no different. Our collective zeitgeist simply cannot get enough of this staple piece. You can pretty much have your pick of styles, but if you’re looking for the reigning cardi trend, the preppy crop should definitely be in your rotation. This sweet piece pairs perfectly with Bunulu’s roomy boyfriend jeans, while a graphic tee from Parisian brand The Kooples brings the drama. A slick pair of kitten slingbacks from M. Gemi seals the deal on this fab fit.

PRETTY AS A PEPLUM

Bunulu, Lace Mixed Sleeveless Peplum $20

Not since scores of 2010 teens fawned over the latest Gossip Girl episode have we seen such unbridled love for the polarizing peplum top. Bunulu’s nigh-perfect, nostalgic beauty adds a very 2024 upgrade with an airy, transparent texture. Continue to channel this updated vibe by pairing it with a chocolate brown maxi skirt and a very on-trend, sculptural pendant necklace. As for footwear, go full Bella and Kendall fall ’24 by combining this season’s slouchy sock + Birks obsession.

THE MARVELOUS KNIT MIDI

Windsor, Good Looks Mock Neck Long Sleeve Knit Midi Dress $26.90

Another fantastic carry over from last season, the knit midi dress is still going strong, and we’re here for it! This long sleeve beauty by Windsor comes in another F/W hot color – cool, dark green. Pair this pretty with some other return favorite of the year, including the slouchy boot and the bold cuff bracelet. Complete this look with a set of earrings from Aurate NY, made from recycled white gold and 100% ethically grown cultured pearls.

THE LEATHER PLEATED SKIRT

Proenza Schouler White Label, Faux-Leather Pleated Skirt $408

Groundbreaking? Hardly. Leather skirts and fall go together like snowflakes and cocoa. This season’s are long and lovely as always, but in particular we’re seeing pleats coming back in a big way. Pair this Proenza version with a pop of unexpected pattern, like this romantic ruffled shirt by Democracy. Tucked in to show off your lovely waist, add one of this season’s wide belts, like this one from The Row (which we found on La Garconne for a fantastic price!). We finish off this fit with the one-and-only G.H. Bass loafers (in on-trend burgundy, natch).

BOMBS AWAY!

Windsor, Chill Outing Crop Bomber Jacket With Hood $54.90

Have bomber jackets ever been out of style? We don’t think so. But this season we’re seeing less of the super-boxy, long versions and more of a return to the cute and cropped versions. These lovelies pair perfectly with all those tailored tops, such as this sleek, wine-toned knit top from Windsor. Add a playful pair of crop flare jeans, some bold gold hoops and finish things off with a chic, block kitten-heel bootie in this season’s preferred toe – the point.

THE ICONIC CARGO

Windsor, Casual Meets Stylish High-Rise Cargo Straight Leg Pants $44.90

No matter how many times we see them, we simply cannot get enough of the cargo pant. This several-seasons staple is pretty much a non-negotiable at this point. Which is just fine by us. Of course, it’s a fine line between lowkey and goblin mode, so if you’re looking to elevate, pair this casual fellow with some unexpected edgy pieces, like this mesh bodysuit by Commando and Amir Slama’s punky charm earrings. Round things out with a comfy cropped Alo Yoga hoodie and Van’s classic Slip-on shoe.

GET YOUR MOTO RUNNING

Windsor, Biker Chic Crop Jacket $49.90

Because everything has a *core* on it these days, we’re here to tell you that bikercore isn’t just arriving, it’s already here. What is bikercore, you ask? Simply put, it’s biker fashion with a nostalgic Y2K twist. And the Queen of this movement is the Moto. As with last season, cropped is the length to go for. Difference is, the ’24 upgrade is decidedly classic moto, with heavy hardware and open lapels. For sure, this year’s moto will look amazing with tees and jeans, but we say take a cue from the “hot aught” girl herself, Paris Hilton, and complement this jacket with an equally sleek and sexy mini dress for maximum head-turning. Our choice with this fit is Windsor’s bodycon, striped knit mini dress. Keep the flirtation flowing with Italian Shoemaker’s multi-textured sandals, and Kendra Scott’s gothy gunmetal Drusy bracelet. For the cherry on top, slide on Coperni’s crystal-embellished bag from the brand’s new season.

THE ELEVATED UTILITY JUMPSUIT

Windsor, Traveling Cute Halter Wide-Leg Cargo Jumpsuit $59.90

To be clear, any reports that quiet luxury killed the utility look have been, to paraphrase Mark Twain, greatly exaggerated. Specifically, the utility jumpsuit is still very much on trend, with a F/W 24 glow up, of course. This season’s version is less bulk, more chic. Case in point, this nicely neutral piece from Windsor with its sleek and stylish halter top and fitted waist. Pair this main character with great supporting pieces, like Alo Yoga’s cozy, roomy cardigan, adidas’s cool Campus 00s sneaks, and some avant asymmetrical earrings from Jacquemus.

THE BOHO 3.0 SKIRT

b + ab, Asymmetric High-Waisted Midi Skirt $123

Okay, we know the word ‘boho’ may cause 2013 flashback cringe, but this season’s version is less festival overload and more focused on the vibe. Fresh, flowy fabrics mix with more cosmopolitan pieces. This beigey-pink skirt from b + ab is a great inspo-starter for this look. To this we paired an easy flutter denim top from Bunulu (the front drawstrings can be played with to create a bespoke high-low look) and a pair of mesh ballet flats. As for jewelry, think more Sienna Miller throwback and less Captain Jack Sparrow. Satya Jewelry hits the right note with their Intention of Balance necklace set.

THE LUXE POLO SHIRT

Polo Ralph Lauren, Long-Sleeve Ribbed Knit Polo Shirt $168

This season, we saw the humble polo skyrocket to ‘it’ factor fame, courtesy first of Miu Miu street style versions, then straight into old-school sport mode, thanks to the summer Olympics and some seriously stunning Team USA outfits. As we curve our way into fall, this chameleon like staple is reimagining itself once more. Fabrics are leaning more luxe (not that you should throw out your knitted cotton fellow, because classic is classic). Textures are being played with as well. This polo from the OG brand Ralph Lauren is a great example, sporting a luxe ribbed knit modal reserved for high quality sweaters. To this we pair another classic, a dark wash, straight leg jean and another interesting up-and-coming trend, the t-bar Mary Jane. Finally, we get playful by adding the cutest little teddy bear charm bracelet by Moschino (Editor’s Note: this fun fellow also looks great as a handbag charm!).
